Sir Anthony Hopkins has been given the role of Odin in the new Marvel Studios flick Thor.
Odin is the king of Asgard and the father of Thor and Loki, played respectfully by Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddelston. Oh yeah, and Natalie Portman is playing Thor’s love interest, Jane Foster. Yesss. She is my #2 “girl crush” and I really like her as an actress. All impressive casting choices for a movie I wouldn’t ordinarily be psyched to see. I’m rather picky about the movies I get psyched over, especially in the mass-produced genres of action/sci fi and romantic comedies. Based off the two people above, and the epic level of the film …that’s worth a visit to the big screen.
