Yes, if you are in need of detailed instruction on how to eat an artichoke …the help is there for you!  If you need help tying your shoes, I’m sure it’s there …oh, wait, it IS there!  Ah, technology…making up for some lack of basic parental education that wasn’t achieved?  That’s the only logical conclusion I could come up with.  Okay, the artichoke thing was just odd and amusing to me, but shoe tying …wow.

beyonce rules…everything

When the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) announced a compilation of its awards for the past decade on Wednesday, there was one person who came out above the rest – Beyonce!

The songstress reached more gold and platinum sales milestones than any of her competitors with 64 RIAA certifications. That includes albums, digital songs, master ringtones and music videos.  Beyonce also led the pack with 19 ringtone certifications!  She loves Jay-Z for his personality.

Check out the billboard for HBO’s Hung down in New Zealand.  Ha.  America needs to catch up with tongue and cheek comfort with sexuality.  We seem to have a need to be a little more blatant and eye-roll worthy about it (hi, Pam Anderson is our idea of “sex”).  If this was up in Times Square, there’d be some tourists shocked and appalled (but secretly loving it) throwing a fit and starting a campaign to take it down.

peaches does “jesus christ: superstar”

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

Electro-rapper and all-around FANTASTIC performer Peaches had planned a very special concert where she would perform the music of the musical Jesus Christ: Superstar as a one woman show in Berlin!!!

However, the German right holders to Andrew Lloyd Weber‘s shows RUINED EVERYTHING when they refused to give her permission to perform the music!!

Peaches took to the internet to tweet the situation.

“[They] claim that this project is of no interest to them due to its unconventional form,” she wrote. “It’s a shame that the authorities feel threatened by this fresh approach. I know a lot of people who really love the music and would appreciate this stripped-down solo performance. I have so much respect for the music and lyrics from the original score and this was my way of honouring that.”

I was bummed to hear about the buzz kill until news dropped that it has been resurrected! Producers changed their minds and granted Peaches permission to do a JCS solo show for 3 nights in Berlin!  Now to figure out how to get to Berlin…
