Disney planned on purchasing Marvel Entertainment for the whopping price of $4.24 billion and now it’s a done deal.
Marvel shareholders approved the sale on Thursday which means Disney now owns the rights to Spider-Man, Iron Man and its 5,000 other comic book creations. Isaac “Ike” Perlmutter, Marvel chief executive, will continue to oversee the business, but report to Walt Disney Co. CEO Robert Iger. “The creative and business potential of this combination is substantial,” says Iger regarding the acquisition.
Maybe with all that cheddar coming in Disneyland should stop hiking up the pass/parking prices by so much per year.
Just saying…

The former Mrs. Donald Trump was on a Delta flight from Palm Beach International Airport to LaGuardia in New York on Saturday afternoon when Ivana held up the entire flight because of her bad behavior!
The plane was beginning its taxi towards the runway when the pilot was alerted of a “disturbance in first class.” The flight crew gave sworn statements to authorities saying Ivana Trump was “being belligerent and aggravated” towards boarding customers from her first class seat. Apparently a couple of kids were running and screaming up and down the aisles, which really set Trump off – she started shouting “Little fuckers!” and “Shut the fuck up!” at the kids!
Ha! Who hasn’t wanted to do that?! That’s what you get to do when you can play the “rich old drunk and confused on pills” card! Wear your aggravation for man-kind on your sleeve.
The captain was forced to taxi the plane back to its original gate and Ivana was asked to exit the aircraft, but she refused! The crew was then forced to “physically escort” Ivana off the plane, all while she was shouting, “Fuck you!” to the airport staff before she sped off in her chauffeured car.
The report from Palm Beach International says the FBI was notified, but they ultimately decided to drop the case.

Quentin Tarantino says he has written about 40 pages of a prequel to his hit film Inglourious Basterds and that it’s a possibility the film could get made. Apparently, it will depend on how the original does during awards season and he’s also working on another project entirely, which he isn’t saying much about. The director has only revealed that it’s going to be “smaller, less epic” and a “different genre entirely” from Basterds. He’s planning on finishing that screenplay within 5 to 6 months.
I LOVED the original film …Tarantino at his best. I don’t think I need to see a prequel. Then again, he also said he was thinking about doing another Kill Bill set many years later with Beatrice Kido’s daughter …blegh. We’ll see what happens in due time I guess…

After two decades together, Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins are calling it quits! Susan’s rep went on the record this afternoon announcing the separation officially, saying:
“Actress Susan Sarandon and her partner of 23 years, actor Tim Robbins have announced that they separated over the summer. No further comments will be made.”
The summer? What took so long to announce this? That bums me out …they were like Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russel having outlasted most relationships and never having had to prove anything by getting married …That really shocks me, I don’t know why …I guess you get used to seeing people together pretty much as long as you’ve been alive and you figure …that’s it.
